To Hell With The Devil: Religious units fight Rock Bands

MOD Desc
Allows Religious units (Apostles and Inquisitors) to fight against Rock Bands, by giving Rock Bands a religious strength level.

Rock Bands have a religious strength of 125 — stronger than an Apostle with no bonuses, but able to be overcome by fervent prayer, fasting, and proper use of wonders and policies.

Rock Bands cannot initiate combat. The point of this mod is to give players an optional line of defence against rock bands.

‘To Hell With the Devil’ is the name of a song by Stryper. You can look up the song on youTube. I used the name because it was a rock reference and it fit the theme of having religions fight back against rock. Before you flood the comments below, I didn’t choose the name because I think rock & roll is ‘of the Devil’ or something.

Special Thanks to SamBC for the idea and to Leugi for the help and patience.
Also, I regret to acknowledge that the Rock band combat animation is overly long. Join me every Sunday morning in prayer that Firaxis opens the expansion assets up to modders.

This game has some big troubles even if it’s more complex than civ 5.
The biggest is the the unlimited numbers of cities that you can found. To win the game you just have to found 10-15 cities (what is very easy because there is no happiness limitation like in civ 5) and then focus in the mid-game on science or culture and then snowball the enemies. While you are in the information era they still live in the renaissance. In most games theres only one AI that can compete
The AI is really bad – even worse than in civ 5. If you have played civ 5 before you can start the game on difficulty 6 (because of the snowball cheesyness).
Even if the game is more complex than civ 5 (for example the really improved religions, or tourism and culture victories, the energy features, way more factions), the only reason to prefer this game over civ 5 is the better (multiplayer) netcode.
Civ 5 with NoQuitters mod is just way superior.

First, I would like to start by saying I personally enjoy the game very much. Yes, the game has its flaws but what game doesn’t. Another thing I remember very well when Civilization V came out, gamers were complaining about that game too. But now they are telling you, you’re better off playing Civilization V and yes Civ V also had flaws per some gamers and supposedly you were better off playing Civilization IV, so you see the pattern. We as gamers are never happy and always complaining about a game. Civ VI is getting better, the developer are still tweaking the game. They haven’t abandon it. So yes, it should have been fix before launch, but the game is out and let’s just hope the tweaks they are doing fixes the flaws the games has which aren’t as bad as some people making seem. In short, the game is enjoyable and playable and if you love or are new to the series than I recommend you purchase Civilization VI. Good luck gamers!
